Yigal Leykin was born in Lviv (USSR). At the age of 9 he moved with his parents to Poland, and from there, at 12, to Israel. In 1978 he got an MD at Bologna University (Italy), then mastering in Sciences at the University of Tel Aviv. He has worked in several hospitals in Italy and abroad. He is the author of over 170 scientific publications.
